<h2>Congratulations! You just made your first step to making your life easier!&nbsp;</h2><p>Hi there! If you are reading this, it means that you just got invited into the platform!&nbsp;<br>This article will guide you through your first day with Nodes &amp; Links and how to get started!</p><blockquote><p>We use the following terms to navigate data within the platform:</p><ul><li><strong>Project</strong>: A predetermined set of schedules that constitute a self-contained object. This object is called ‘project’. A project on the Nodes &amp; Links platform usually reflects one real-world project, but there are exceptions where one project on Nodes &amp; Links can be composed of more than one real-world project.</li><li><strong>Fiiles supported:</strong> Oracle Primavera P6 file (.xer), Microsoft Project (.mpp) or PowerProject (.pp) file.&nbsp;</li></ul></blockquote><h2>Step 1: Accept the invitation in your email&nbsp;</h2><p>Before you get on the platform you need to create an account. You should see an email with an invitation that looks like this:</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/fd2d3669-4f8f-446a-b832-a54c6e6aecd0"></figure><h2>Step 2: Create a new project and upload your baseline</h2><p>All you need is internet access, a project schedule, and a modern browser and you are good to go!&nbsp;</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com//2fb9b1dc-6b24-4932-a11c-e9485b8c0afd"></figure><h2>Step 3: Upload an update for your project</h2><p>There are several ways of uploading a new schedule to an existing project.</p><p>We recommend doing so from the Home Screen - simply go to the top left corner and click on the ‘<strong>+</strong>’ icon. Once you are there, follow the on screen instructions and you are good to go!</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com//23b52a29-062d-4200-a369-7da5e82161a7"></figure><h2>Step 4: Invite a colleague</h2><p>You can easily add users to an existing project. Simply go to the bottom left corner and click on the ‘Add to a project’ button. You can invite one or many users at the same time, by simply adding their email addresses and assigning roles to them. You don’t have to do anything in P6 regarding that. This helps us understand what is the exact equipment given the equipment type. e.g., 10 tonne excavator should have a different CO2 rate compare to a 20 tonne excavator.</p><h3>Am I supposed to do something with the Primary Attribute?</h3><p>No this is just us being transparent about how we work. Units for equipment’s attributes cannot be inserted in P6 anyway We recognise them in the name of the equipment.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

Comparison schedule (which version you're comparing against)</strong></h3><p>At the top left of the page you can select any of the schedules whose data date precedes the one you currently have as active</p><h3><strong>2. Scope selection &nbsp;(what to compare)</strong></h3><p>At the top of the page, you choose what subset of the schedule you want to analyze:</p><ul><li><strong>All </strong>— Compares all activities in the current schedule to the previous schedule (typically a baseline)</li><li><strong>Critical Path</strong> — Focuses only on activities that are part of the current Critical Path, helping you identify changes to project finish</li><li><strong>Custom Path</strong> — Allows you to select:<ul><li>A <strong>Target Activity</strong> (e.g. milestone, deliverable)</li><li>An optional <strong>Pass-Through Activity</strong> to define a custom sequence of dependencies for closer analysis</li></ul></li></ul><p>This selection controls which part of the schedule is visualized and analyzed across the rest of the view.</p><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:100%;"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/00607e49-6746-4171-a4b6-bcf23e574a49"></figure><h3><strong>3. View type &nbsp;(how the information is depicted)</strong></h3><h3>&nbsp;</h3><ul><li><strong>Changes View</strong> - A data table mode where each activity change is shown in detail. You can use tabs to focus on specific types of changes (e.g. Dates, Durations, Relationships, etc.). Clicking on a row opens a side panel with full before/after details.</li><li><strong>Gantt View</strong> - A visual timeline view showing activity bars for before and after states, overlaid for easy comparison.</li></ul><figure class="image image_resized" style="width:100%;"><img src="https://cdn-assets.productfruits.com/7baf34a3-37aa-4d2c-bc66-48d0628e51bd"></figure><h3>&nbsp;</h3><h2><strong>Tabular filters</strong></h2><p>Tabs dynamically group activities based on the kind of change they’ve undergone:</p><ul><li>All – Full list of changed activities</li><li>Added / Removed – For new or deleted activities</li><li>Dates – Start, finish, or actuals changed</li><li>Duration – Duration changes detected</li><li>Relationships – Logic changes (predecessors/successors added/removed)</li><li>Calendar – Calendar assignments updated</li></ul><p>🔍 Click any tab to auto-apply its filter to the table and Gantt (if active)</p><h2><strong>Data table</strong></h2><p>Each row in the data grid corresponds to a changed activity. Key capabilities:</p><p><strong>Sortable Columns</strong> – Click on any column to sort; for example, find the activity with the worst duration slippage</p><p><strong>Selectable Rows</strong> – You can manually select specific activities to analyze further</p><p><strong>Customizable Columns</strong> – You can show/hide columns and reorder them to tailor the grid layout to your workflow.
